Learning POA Concepts through What, Why and How?

Tips to Study Accounts

Studying effectively matters on how curious you are about a particular subject. If your heart isn’t completely dedicated to the particular subject of accounting then it can turn pure tedium.

Let’s discuss today about how to focus on study time and learn the basics of accounting efficiently.

 Read your Books?

Reading books is a good habit, whatever you can learn from books by yourself cannot be taught by another source, so this is  a great resource for learning accounts, but there is a difference in going through accounting books and regular history, science and English literature books, though it can be related with the concepts of maths.

Accounting Concepts are purely focussed on What, Why and How?

1)    The concept of “WHAT”?- The concept of  What  means whatever you are studying in Chapter1  should be clear to you because the concepts are interrelated to each other when you go through the next chapters of the text book.

2)    Read your Accounts Book to know “WHY”?-Accounting is much about WHY, whenever you read your books, try to discover the things in form of WHY try to represent the things you read in your own way, explain the new concept you learn to someone else. This activity of first reading it out yourself and then explaining to others clear away your doubts and helps you to develop a clear vision about the topic.

3)      Discover the things from the concept of “HOW”?-After completing Why we come to the stage of HOW the things we learnt about principal of accounts can be applied. So in order to discover how  principal of accounts works and how they can be applied, work on the problems exercise given in the textbooks,  for doing this you can take help from your poa tuition teacher as well. Work on the problem and match your answer from the answer guide.

  1. Many think that POA is just about rote memorization of rules and journal entries. In truth, success depends much more on understanding why accounting principles exist and how they apply in different scenarios. Another misconception is that POA is easy because it looks like arithmetic, but higher-order questions in exams demand solid reasoning, not just mechanical steps.
